The charts below present Nevada South Shore Lake Tahoe property transfer
values (per the Douglas County Assessor's Data) for the period from 1986 through
almost the present time. Each chart represents a different area of Nevada South
Lake Tahoe. Each data point represents transfer of a single property.
Sometimes the transfers are not at full value, so we see some data points at
very very low values. These might be transfers from parent to child,
transfers between other relatives, or transfers in which a loan was assumed.
Note that the transfer values do not show a dip during the real estate crisis
in the 1990 to 1991 timeframe. Most Real Estate Values dropped about 30%
at that time ( as many of us know so well). However, Nevada South Shore
Lake Tahoe property values seemed to hold steady and even continue increasing.
This speaks well for prospective future value of Lake Tahoe Real Estate.
